1 Laws and acts
The most important
law which includes all of the Finnish people is the constitution law. The
constitution law determines things like people’s equality, personal rights,
free moving, privacy, freedom to speech and right’s to social healthcare. The
constitution law creates the basics of all laws (Finlex.2016a).
The law of social
healthcare act is also very important. It’s specify and determine more clearly
regulations in social healtcare than constitution law. The meaning of the law
is improving and keep the well-being and social security. Take care that
everyone has equal social and other well-being services. It helps collaboration
between local town and other operative. (Finlex.2016b).
Other important
law is the healthcare act. This is necessary law to Finland which is still
welfare society. It keeps and improves people’s health, well-being, work and
functional ability and social security. It also narrows health differences
between peoples. Accomplish basic healthcare services. (Finlex.2016c).
Primary Health
Care Act’s determines what local town has to provide to the people. Social and
welfare ministration decides the main principles and Regional State
Administrative Agencies watches that towns will obey these acts.

Act on the Status
and Rights of Patients determines that all people have right to get good
healthcare. The patient has self-determination rights about the treatment. In
minor case it has to prove that you are aware enough to determine yourself. In
severe cases it has to give treatment but not if it against at own will. This
law it’s for the people’s security. (Finlex.2016e).
2 The social welfare and health care reform
The social welfare
and health care reform main purpose is to make health care system more effective.
Now days health care costs are too expensive for the country. In the future
there will be three stages: Country, province and towns. The reform is meant to
start at 1.1.2019. However, this reform is effective its meant to help people
to get treatment and improve equality between people. (Sote ja maakunta
uudistus).
In the future, you
can choose where you want to be treated. You can choose between public, private
or third sector health system. The special treatment is concentrated in big University
hospitals and your nearest health center might be cancelled. The payment in
public health treatment will rise. (Yle).
The digitalization
is one main thing in reform. When every health care professional will use the
same system, the ICT is easier to everyone. You can use the Kanta.fi to watch
your own information and every health care professional is able also to watch
things what is necessary to treatment. (Kanta.2016)
3 Siun-Sote
The main purpose
in Siun-Sote program is to unite all social and health service and central
hospital services in 14 different towns in North-Karelia and one town Heinävesi
in South-Savo. This reform is meant to make health care system more effective
and improve patients safety and service. (Siun-Sote.2016a).
Equitable access
to health care services is tough thing because the area of the North-Karelia is
wide. There is electronic services available witch purpose is make it easier to
get help if you can’t go to health center. Example the old person can use
tablet computer which have camera connection and call to the nurse or doctor
and get service at the distance. Also there is a lot of health information
available to you. The system and service will develop all the time.
(Siun-Sote2016b).
Siun-Sote is meant
to start early 2017. Like every reform this is big thing to everyone. The staff
and patients have had chance to affect to process. It’s important to listen the
those you will actually do the work and who get the treatment. (PKSSK.2015).
My personal opinion
is that this is reform is great thing but there is lot of questions marks.
Elderly are the biggest user of health services so is the new model simply
enough to the elderly which have used to different kind of health care system.
If our country can’t get rid of this financial crisis is the reform effective
enough? What will happen in future there aren’t answer but together we will
rise again.
